Iris (1967) married and proud mother of 1 daughter, a huge fan of 70's, 80's & 90's music and riding her Triumph motorcycle, was born, and raised in Antwerp, Belgium. She graduated in 1986 with an Economics Degree at the St. Ursula Instituut, started her first job in logistics in 1987.
During those 36 years, she held several roles in operations management, airfreight, sea freight, warehousing, sourcing, transport management in automotive and pharma logistics. Although this sounds like many different employers, Iris is not a 'jobhopper.'
She worked 8 years with Detroit Diesel Corporation and 23 years with Penske Logistics before joining Broekman Logistics nearly 3 years ago as General Manager Transport. In this role she is responsible for optimizing, centralizing, systemizing of the companies’ road transport activities while growing this side of the business.
